A little about us

In 2013 Assistant Directors Tamana Bleasdale and Vicki Allen launched CallTime Company a Diary Service, supplying Film and TV Drama PAs and Location Marshals. You can find out more about Tamana and Vicki in our backstory or see out quick Q&A below.

Quick Q&As

What do you love most about your job?

Supporting people who don't have a natural connection into the industry to achieve their dreams, we've always focussed heavily on diversity when recruiting.

I love hearing back from our Members that they've landed a big contract job we've put them up for, we know what it means for them.

What's the biggest misconception about CallTime?

That we have 1000's of members and are just a 'jobs board'. We believe in quality over quantity, we're very hands on with all our members and bookings. We know we're only as good as our Team.

That CallTime is just for New Entrants, our main Diary Service has the biggest database of experienced Set PA's, 3rd Assistant Directors, Office PA's and Production Secretaries in the industry and they're all fantastic!

Favourite movie you've worked on?

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, it was a lot of fun to work on. We had a great AD Team and Crew.

I did a chunk of The Holiday's UK shoot as a Floor 2nd and loved seeing Nancy Meyers work, huge fan.

What did you enjoy most about working on set?

The people, the banter, new locations and that there was never a dull moment!

The camaraderie, probably why I have so many kids, I love working as a Team! Especially on the large Crowd/Action days, great fun.

Favourite thing to do when not working?

Reading, watching movies with and without the kids, walking our dog, catching up with friends.

Travelling, restaurants, entertaining... My friends are always subjected to my new recipes and strange cocktails!

If you hadn't been an Assistant Director what other Department would you have gone into?

I was fascinated by VFX and the gadgets they had on set i.e. Disco Balls! They are one of the departments at the forefront of how technology is changing filmmaking.

I was always in the Make-up trailer (mostly looking for freebies!) but I'd be terrible! Stunts always looked like an exciting department to work in.

If you could have worked on one movie what would it have been?

Some Like it Hot! Although a little before my time.....Ferris Bueller's Day Off or The Breakfast Club...I could go on!

It's a toss up between Raiders of the Lost Ark or the Goonies, I'm an 80's child.
